As for this piece, it looses me in some of the details and I am not sure what is being proffered. Obviously, civil violence is to be avoided and policed. Peaceful Arabs and Muslims are entitled to as much, if not more protection (as minorities) then the Jewish Israeli civilians. But then again, this is a 90-year old war zone and it simply can NOT be viewed in the same context as say, for example, the disputed island of Cyprus. In closing I say, when the world gets over its obsession with hating Jews (probably never) then all these other issues will fade away--like the 'rusted rifles' of a James Taylor tune.
