The Question of Palestine
Examining the Viability of the One and Two State Solutions

March 7, 2013

JOIN US AT THE

Assembly Hall, International House

Doors open at 5:30 pm
Recent developments, such as the expansion of the E1 settlement plan as well as the Palestinian bid at the UN, have made discussion of potential solutions to the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict particularly pertinent. Increasingly, arguments are being voiced that call into question the viability of a two-state solution given the political realities on the ground, and for various political and ideological reasons others have begun to talk more of a one-state solution.

This panel discussion will seek to examine the cases for one and two-state solutions and place them in the context of Israeli and Palestinian politics and public opinion.

Yousef Munayyer, Executive Director of The Jerusalem Fund in D.C., Mitchell Plitnick, a respected policy analyst formerly of Jewish Voice for Peace and the B’Tselem U.S. office, and Ali-Abunimah, Palestinian-American journalist and co-founder of the Electronic Intifada as well as a graduate of the University of Chicago, will be featured on the panel.

This event is brought to you by the Global Voices Lecture Series at the International House and Students for Justice in Palestine. Sponsorship comes from the Human Rights Department and the Center for Middle Eastern Studies.

This event is free and open to the public. A $5 donation is suggested but not required. For more information on the speakers visit the Facebook page.
